Compress JPEG without chasing the right percentage.
Traditional JPEG compression asks for a quality percentage even when the real requirement is a file-size limit. This tool reverses that workflow: enter the maximum size, and let the browser find a fitting quality and, when necessary, a smaller resolution.
When JPEG is a good choice
JPEG is efficient for photographs, application portraits, and colorful images that do not need transparency. It is usually the best output for form uploads and photo-heavy pages.
When WebP is better
If the source has transparency, this tool uses WebP so the background stays clear. WebP can also deliver useful quality at a smaller file size, though the receiving website must accept that format.
Check the upload form’s full rules
Some application portals enforce exact dimensions, image format, or a minimum resolution. Meeting the file-size limit does not automatically guarantee acceptance by every third-party form.
